a sensitive, caring man.

A.Mrs. March ran her household with limited resources as her husband, a chaplain
was with the soldiers at the battlefront. Mrs. March was a selfless and caring woman
who first visited a poor family on Christmas morning. She loved her girls and was
very appreciative of their little gifts. She was confident that her girls would give up
their breakfast for the poor family when she asked them and they did.
e. “That’s loving our neighbour better than ourselves,” said Meg, as
they set out their presents.
Explain what Meg meant by this.
A.That’s loving our neighbour better than ourselves.” On their mother’s request the
girls packed their Christmas breakfast and took it to feed a poor family and they
themselves ate milk and bread for breakfast. They put the needs of the poor
neighbours before their own.
